Guidelines must be prepared, rules set. Without a precise plan marketing will only rarely work. Furthermore, a precise plan will do no good unless it is precisely executed and followed. Although this sounds natural, the picture in reality is different. Most marketers develop an excellent plan, but then implement it too loosely ... if at all.
